When this sand is brought in contact with high temperature metal pattern, it converts into the shape of the pattern, with high strength.<\/p><p>Shell molding is a casting process that uses resin-coated sand to create thin, strong molds (shells). These molds are formed by heating a metal pattern, allowing the sand-resin mixture to bond and create a rigid shell.
