KLS Institute of Management Education and Research (KLS IMER) organized an inspiring industry interaction session for MBA students by Mr. B. M. Prakash Pereira, Managing Director (Global), ETAG, Dubai, UAE. The session was coordinated by Dr. Shailaja Hiremath and Dr. Ameet Kulkarni, with enthusiastic support from student coordinators Mr. Priyanshu, Ms. Mansi, and Mr. Rohit Sanagoudar.

Addressing the students on the theme "Success is a Decision You Make Beyond the Degree," Mr. Pereira emphasized that while education provides the foundation, it is one's attitude, integrity, discipline, commitment, leadership, and willingness to learn that shape a successful career. He encouraged students to understand their aptitude before making career decisions and highlighted the importance of professional career counselling and self-awareness.

Drawing from his rich global industry experience, he motivated students to adopt a "pilot mindset"—taking responsibility for their careers instead of leaving success to circumstances. He also explained how marketing and finance together create value for businesses and urged students to become problem-solvers who contribute meaningfully to organizations. Stressing resilience, consistency, ethical conduct, and entrepreneurial thinking, he reminded students that failure is often the tuition fee for success and that persistence distinguishes achievers.

The highly interactive session inspired students to think beyond academic qualifications, develop a positive attitude, and become lifelong learners capable of creating value and leading with character in the global workplace.
