Mr. Nilesh Chougule Vice Chairman of CII Belagavi District Council was at IMER today, Wednesday, 24th June 2026 to have first strategic meeting to discuss a structured roadmap for leveraging association between CII & KLS IMER. He proposed to IMER to become nodal institution for multiple CII Forums, Panels, Task Forces and Centres of Excellence. Ms. Shilpa, Brand Manager, Creintors Group, was also present.

Dr. Arif Shaikh, Director, KLS IMER, Dr. Shailaja Hiremath, Dr. Ajay Jamnani, Prof. Sumanth Desai, Prof. Rashmi Harti and Prof. Savitha Kulkarni participated in the deliberations.

IMER is expected to:

Form institutional working groups for each assigned CII forum/panel.
Develop an annual action plan with measurable outcomes.
Organize joint industry-academia initiatives under the CII banner.
Establish periodic review mechanisms to track progress and impact.
Have a CII -Wall to show case the association in IMER campus

This initiative has the potential to significantly enhance KLS IMER's visibility, industry engagement, student opportunities, research contributions and regional impact while strengthening its position as a preferred industry partner.
