Rotary-KLE Skin Bank by Rotary Club of Belgaum. Rotary Club of Belgaum in Association with KLE Hospital is starting a novel life savinG and very useful project for the burn victims and the accident victims for the community of Belgaum.Rotary-KLE Skin Bank. After the death of an individual he or she can donate skin which will be processed and preserved under certain conditions for 4 to 5 years.Usually the burn or accident victims die because of loss of Skin which is protective covering of our body which protects from any form of infection. We can use the skin which is received from the cadaver ( dead body) and utilise it for dressing the wound. This process is skin banking and this will save thousands of people who suffer from burns or accidental open wounds. We have received Global Grant of amount USD 32500 ref. no. 1746862. And the equipments are ordered.
