The Basics

The Rotary movement in Belgaum began with the formation of Rotary Club of Belgaum on the 5th of December 1941, with 18 members.

Ours is the second oldest club of the RI District 3170, and also a leading club engaged in Community, Vocational and International service. After 7years of continuous community service, our club has 97 members.

Some of our members are since 1966 and still active and some joined this year.  There is a perfect mix of wisdom, maturity, youth and energy. This gives us immense courage and confidence to take up most challenging tasks.
Let it be fellowship, leadership or a service project all members are ever ready to give their 100% to make it successful.

We are HUB for SCAW procurement and distribution, organize mega events like Annotsav, Sci-Fair, we maintain Rotary Sports complex, executed many matching grants projects and other projects and now initiated most ambitious challenging projects “Happy School program”, EYE bank, Skin Bank,  Toilet blocks, Rotary Play Gardens

President's Message

Rtn Dr. Kanhoba M Keluskar , President 2019-20

Dear Friends,

Greetings

My dear fellow Rotarians, I am honoured and humbled by the responsibility

you have entrusted in me to lead this prestigious Club for the year 2020 – 2021.

I would like to congratulate my predecessor IPP Jeevan Khatav and his entire team for their successful tenure.

Our club has a rich pool of Past District Governors, Presidents and committed members

who have set certain standards and I assure you that I will strive hard to keep up the tradition and image of our Club.

I sincerely appeal for your support and co-operation to achieve this.

This year Rotary international has given us the theme “Rotary opens Opportunities”.

The COVID pandemic has given us an opportunity to serve the community and we need to work hard to overcome this herculean task.

Hence this year along with other projects like water conservation, literacy, environment and many more,

the key area we need to focus on is improving health status of the community. We will work hard to serve humanity.

For our Club to remain vibrant and active we need to focus on not only attracting new members

but keeping and involving the members we already have.

Let us all work together for the service of this great organization Rotary.
